It provides a structured environment where students can produce paintings or drawings that explore positive social values such as social justice, human rights, peace, inclusion, and active citizenship.
The Civic Data & Justice Bootcamp is an intensive capacity-building program designed to equip human rights defenders, civic journalists, and NGO workers with practical skills in data extraction, analysis, and visualization. It is specifically tailored to human rights applications.
The initiative focuses on holding public institutions accountable by training participants in a practical data pipeline: liberating unstructured government data, conducting exploratory analysis, and creating accessible, compelling visual narratives.
To ensure technical mastery, the bootcamp leverages open-source tools such as Python, SQL, Streamlit, and Canva, empowering advocates to build and deploy interactive public dashboards. The intensive training culminates in a "Demo Day," where participants pitch their capstone projects and demonstrate their ability to translate raw data into actionable civic intelligence.
Supported by technical collaborations with organizations and strategic media partnerships to amplify advocacy findings, the program establishes a robust alumni network. This ensures that the trained advocates continue to leverage data to drive transparency, demand accountability, and foster systemic change within their communities.

It has successfully achieved 100% of its core objectives to bridge the implementation gap of the Lagos State Special People's Law (2011) using civic technology and youth-led monitoring. The initiative simplified complex legislation into a 16-part infographic series, generating over 15,000 digital impressions and expanding legal literacy for more than 5,000 individuals.At the core of the project is the disabilityproject.ng web application, which features a customized 25-point audit checklist for real-time, geotagged compliance tracking.
Driven by a cohort of 20 trained youth advocates, comprising 60% women and 25% persons with disabilities (PWDs), the initiative executed a Health Sector Pilot that audited 9 public healthcare institutions and logged 10+ verified facility reports. Through a formal partnership with the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA), these data-backed ratings now inform state-level enforcement and facility upgrades, ultimately benefiting more than 20,000 direct and indirect residents across Lagos.
